Inside Pt.III

Sec could tell she’d passed through the door only because the pressure in her eyes and ears had abruptly gone, there was also a new acrid smell to the air. It was dark, pitch black, or so it seemed at first. As her eyes adjusted she noticed the seated figure first, it was him, First, or at least an avatar of his subconscious that existed in this place. The softly pulsing red glow caught her attention next, it felt familiar, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on why.

Slowly she understood, she was standing in a psychic representation of where their physical bodies were actually sitting at this moment, where their fateful brawl had taken place, the place where sec had nearly killed the person dearest to her. It was much darker here, the sun had been mid sky when she entered his mind, she supposed that much time could have passed, but she didn’t think that was the case, this darkness was coming from First.

Something deep down, some animal instinct told her that this apparition was not here to hurt her. She’d found her guide.
